As I have long observed, the collusion between corrupt media and corrupt government in this country has continued to set the narrative for far too long. It is a history lesson that needs to be learned in the present.

Adolph Hitler’s propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels said:

“It is the absolute right of the State to supervise the formation of public opinion.”

He goes on, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Is this what we see today in America? Absolutely, it is!

History teaches us that these dictatorships have continually advocated for unlawful change, out with the old and in with the new (Proverbs 24:21), by creating domestic warfare, and all this with the help of the media’s propagandists (John 8:44). 

Remember the brown shirts under Adolph Hitler who were responsible for creating the domestic issues only to then have Hitler play the problem solver, and soon after to be praised by his followers for solving the very issues that he was, in fact, responsible for creating.

Remember what SS officer Josef “The Angel of Death” Mengele said: "The more we do to you, the less that you believe that we are doing it to you.”

To help make clear and simple these next points (Psalm 119:130), remember that the disciples of the devil and son of Belial Saul Alinsky conjured this up in his reprobate mind to deceive the enemies of righteousness by telling them:

“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” 

So, with this now in scope, let me explain.

Just this week, while at the Minnesota State Fair, which is the fourteenth year we have had the opportunity of having our ministry booth there (Luke 19:10), we had the opportunity of seeing much of this being played out right in front of our eyes.

We noticed that the propagandists from Minneapolis Star and Tribune reported that there was a big Black Lives Matter protest going on. Little did they know that I was there the day that they reported this big protest.  It's funny because I did not see or hear a peep of disturbance from this group that day. (Editor’s note: To be fair, multiple sources report that the protesters were at the front gate and were not allowed into the fair. That’s probably why Bradlee did not see them.)

Do you remember what William Randolph Hearst had said?

“You furnish the pictures and ill furnish the war.”

This is exactly what the media’s “useful idiots” were doing that day.

Speaking of Black Lives Matter, they had a pretty good size booth at the state fair, which was downsized again this year.  Yet, the problem with this was that there were thousands upon thousands of people (270,000 a day) walking by, and I did not see one person stop in support of them whatsoever, not one!

Who helps promote the life and the victim status for Black Lives Matter more than the mainstream lying media? Nobody does!

I also noticed a booth in a hall, which literally thousands of people walk down, that was promoting the "religion of peace," Islam. Outside of the 2 people that were manning their small booth and standing by to share with the people the "compassion, tolerance and love of Islam," not one person stopped by this booth.

Who promotes Islam as the religion of peace more than the mainstream media? Nobody. 

I was wondering with all of the support that the media was giving to the sodomite (Leviticus 18:22) lobby, which is a felony in every state of our union, surely there must be a booth in support of them? There was no booth because the only ones giving life to the lies that they promote are those who are trying to rule over you. In other words, the people are not supporting this.  The mainstream media is attempting to deceive the masses with the lie that the people are in support of the homosexual lobby when they are not.

Yet, what adds strength to all of these subversive organizations is the people’s tolerance of their crimes. 

With all of the support for Planned Parenthood, or so the media would have you believe, I ask, where was their booth at the Minnesota State Fair? There isn’t one because the people in this country are not in support of it and yet over 3-4000 innocent babies are killed in the womb every single day (Proverb 6:17).

I couldn’t find an anti-Second Amendment booth, a pro-illegal immigrant booth, a pro-Communist booth, etc. and yet, the people fall for the media’s propaganda in allowing their subversive actions towards our Republic.

The irony of this whole thing is that right next to our booth this year was a media propaganda outlet called The Pioneer Press, which was attempting to hand out FREE papers, yes I said FREE papers, that the people were refusing to take. Friends, they could not even give the papers away for FREE.

Taking it a final step forward Malcolm X stated:

“If you are not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

I will tell you by first-hand experience how true this is, how many times I have been polarized and scrutinized and lied about by the mainstream media for simply telling the truth that exposes them for that which they are responsible (Matthew 5:10; Ephesians 5:13). 

Knowing all of this, I have to ask, of what are the American people afraid (Proverbs 28:1)? It is all based on lies, promulgated by liars that need justice rendered to them (Isaiah 5:20).

How many organizations in this country exist because of these lies and yet, survive because the people do not take the time to pull the mask off these subversives?

A war within is drawing nigh unto our front doors (Amos 6:3) if we refuse to deal with them.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” -Psalm 9:17

Who is pushing for war which brings about change more than the corrupt media and the corrupt politicians? No one.

The media continuously attempts to divert your attention to the southern border through the circus of politics.  You know, where the left blames the right, and then the right blames the left, and in the end, the American people are stripped of their God-given rights.

People need to awake to the fact that this administration has eradicated NAFTA by implementing something far worse called the USMCA in helping set up a global government (Luke 22:48).

A popular constitutional attorney from Washington DC shared with me this last week that this president has the power to put a stop to all of this illegal immigration across the country if only he would enforce the immigration laws, which he has not done. He went on and said that if you are waiting for this administration to enforce immigration laws, forget it, this president is sitting on his hands.

Many are not aware of the fact that several states have passed unconstitutional legislation, policies which counter and undermine the US Constitution, in order to hand your country over to illegals within the borders of the United States of America (Deuteronomy 28:43).

Just this last week, we’ve seen the manifestation and exhibition of this in my state of Minnesota, where they want to hand driver's licenses to illegals. Yes, you read that right.

New, Governor Tim Walz wishes to implement something called a “Sanctuary City.”  He is joined by Attorney General Keith Ellison, whose objective is to bring in 300% more Somalis into Minnesota to illegally enforce, through totalitarian means, that which is clearly contradictory to the US Constitution (Article 6,  Section 2, US Constitution).

Of course, let’s not forget the 74 said representatives acting outside of their scope of authority that just passed through the House a bill that would literally hand out licenses for illegals that are at this very moment being allured into this state (Deuteronomy 28:43).

Let me ask you, where did these said representatives receive delegated authority from “We the People” to implement such a bill? They didn’t!

No one has delegated authority to these said representatives to tear down the United States Constitution and recreate it in the image of the United Nations charters in making way for illegals.

The Minneapolis Star and Tribune reported, "Minnesota House votes to allow driver's licenses for immigrants in the country illegally."

The Democratic-led Minnesota House voted Friday to give immigrants the ability to get driver’s licenses even if they are in the country illegally, setting the stage for a potential clash with Senate Republicans who argue that the change rewards those who break the law.

“Immigrants, whether they are documented or undocumented, are Minnesotans. They are part of the fabric of our communities,” said House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler, D-Golden Valley. “It is time that we helped take away this shadow of not having a driver’s license.”

The 74-52 vote was a victory for the DFL House majority and Democratic Gov. Tim Walz, who have made it a top priority for this session. But it faces strong opposition in the Republican-controlled Senate, where some conservatives see it as an invitation to illegal immigration and possibly even fraudulent voting.

Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, said the proposal would set a “dangerous precedent” and “undermine our current laws.” “Minnesota shouldn’t be in the business of incentivizing illegal behavior, and by allowing illegal and undocumented immigrants access to driver’s licenses, that’s exactly what our state would be doing,” he said.

Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, R-Nisswa, has called the chances that the bill would pass his chamber “small.”

If the measure were to clear the Minnesota Legislature, still a distant prospect, the state would become the 13th in the nation to provide licenses to residents who cannot prove legal status, fueling the national debate over immigration and access to social benefits.

Ron Branstner reported:

Most of you are aware of the house file that passed the floor this past week in Minnesota.  H.F. 1500 passed the House overwhelmingly in support of giving illegals driver’s license on Minnesota roads.   

Now, after finding out about this information, I immediately called my state senator and began asking what was going on down at the state capital.  I inserted constitutional and federal law references throughout the conversation.  I ended by stating that this is treason (Luke 22:48).

He replied, "We need help from a third party" and added that these said representatives that signed their names to implement such a treasonous bill need to be escorted out and into jail, I of course answered in the affirmative with, you’re exactly right (Isaiah 26:9; 51:4)!

Americans, how long are you going to play the fool with those who are trampling under foot your blood-bought freedoms, as well as those who are now handing off your country to those who mean to destroy it?

On Monday morning sources around the country reported on the Sears bankruptcy. But that doesn’t mean the company is out of business. Well, not yet anyway. It’s a good ol’ fashioned restructuring type of bankruptcy. I don’t believe that many feel the restructuring will work but there it is.

There is blame o’plenty. Current CEO Eddie Lampert blames Sears retirees. Analysts around the globe blame the CEO for his bad decisions not committing to online sales. Common sense and reason suggests that Walmart and Amazon gobbled up Sears customers like an old school game of Pac Man. It might even have been because of that time in 2003 when Sears sold its highly lucrative credit card business to Citigroup. No, seriously, that credit card business was more than 50% of the company’s profits. And they sold it off. *shrugs*

Anyway. It was probably a giant mixture of events that led Sears to inevitable bankruptcy after 130 years in business. CNN interactive made a really nice timeline of the company leading up to Monday’s announcement.

This all seems eerily familiar to my childhood. I grew up in MPLS, MN and we had a huge Sears building on Lake Street, kind of midtown Minneapolis. And I spent many an hour walking those retail halls or getting my keys made there or wondering why we could only shop on floor 1-3 but the building clearly had several stories above those - what was happening there? I even have fond memories of scrolling through the Sears catalog and circling all the toys I wanted for Christmas. Our Sears building closed down in 1994 and was eventually declared a national landmark building. Then in 2006 it was reopened as the Midtown Global Market with apartments and condos above. I’ve also spent many an hour eating and drinking at the Midtown Global Market so it all came full circle for me.

For the Sears company however, it all came down to that $134 million dollar payment they had due on Monday. And they couldn’t afford to make it. Hence the bankruptcy and restructuring.

Everything Sears seems to be fading fast. Even the famous Chicago Sears Tower, at once the tallest building in the US, was eventually bought and renamed the Willis Tower. The only silver lining here for Sears - I’m pretty sure everyone in the world still calls it the Sears Tower.

Again, this isn’t the end for Sears (yet) but the company does plan to close more than a hundred underperforming stores.  

While I’ve only been a Minnesotan for about a year, the state has been my second home since I was a kid fishing the Land of 10,000 Lakes with my dad and uncles. I’m now a Minneapolis resident and homeowner. I drive home from work on South 11th Street to avoid the backed-up Interstate 94 West at least three times per week. I attend Minnesota Timberwolves games regularly and Minnesota Twins games even more regularly. So my take on the Super Bowl is this: I’m ready for it to end and never come back.

1) You don’t get to complain about the cold

If you have tickets to the big game, you probably have enough money to invest in warm outerwear. If you refuse to do so, you still don’t have to subject yourself to the elements. I walked nearly a mile from the Super Bowl Experience at the Minneapolis Convention Center on 2nd Ave South and South 12th Street to Target Center on 1st Avenue North and North 7th Street -- without going outside. The skyway system should allow you to get from just about any downtown hotel to U.S. Bank Stadium without going outside, so you don’t get to complain about the cold. You knew this game would be played in Minneapolis in the winter, so you had ample time to prepare. The Super Bowl doesn’t sneak up on anyone, except The Dan LeBatard Show.

2) Bicycling is the best way to get around Minneapolis

Whether you’re a local or not, you don’t want to be driving around downtown Minneapolis. Army National Guard members in armored Humvees are serving as extra traffic cops and some four-lane streets are cut down to just two lanes to account for increased pedestrian traffic. Even bike lanes are being sacrificed to accommodate increased foot traffic, but at the speed of downtown traffic, bicycles will blow by cars on the crowded streets. Bicycle parking isn’t much of an issue either given the weather. I had no problem finding a place to lock up my bike just a block away from the Verizon Up stage for the free Morris Day and the Time concert on Monday night, which brings me to my next point…

3) Perhaps putting a sledding hill on Nicollet Mall wasn’t such a great idea

Getting to the Verizon Up stage was a nightmare because of a giant, man made snow hill parked on Nicollet Mall. You couldn’t move for minutes at times because it was so packed with people. Nicollet Mall was just remodeled to better accommodate foot traffic, and the first opportunity we have to test it a sledding hill is installed instead. While streets around the stage were closed, pop-up tents selling overpriced food and drinks minimized the added area for foot traffic. So the sidewalks are basically the only means of entrance or exit to the Verizon Up stage despite the ample increase in foot traffic.

4) The Super Bowl Experience is a children’s playground

If you have children, they’ll love the Super Bowl Experience at the Minneapolis Convention Center, and at $25 per child 12 years of age or under, it’s a bargain. There are tons of games to keep them busy all day, including actual NFL combine competitions against pro football players. There’s even a mini-football field in the basement that looked to be setup for a field goal kicking contest. There’s a punt, pass and kick competition, and, of course, there’s plenty of people selling stuff.

The Super Bowl Experience might not be too attractive to adults, though. There are lounges throughout the convention center where you can play pool and get some food or a drink. There are Super Bowl rings on display as well as the Lombardi Trophy. Even some Hall of Fame busts made the trip to Minneapolis, including Vikings’ Cris Carter’s and Brett Favre’s. The most interesting thing I found at the Super Bowl Experience, though, were the tiles chronicling the game’s history. I’m betting there’s a bunch you didn’t know about football, like a touchdown used to be worth four points prior to 1898, which was less than a field goal’s five points until it was changed to four points in 1904, and then three points in 1909. A touchdown wasn’t worth six points until 1912.

I bet you didn’t know baseball’s Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies formed professional football teams in 1902. Ace pitcher Christy Mathewson played fullback for Pittsburgh, and the first World Series of pro football was a five-team tournament featuring a team made up of players from both the A’s and Phillies. I never knew the St. Paul Ideals and Duluth Eskimos existed, with Duluth having the coolest uniforms ever.

5) Radio Row is a circus

I couldn’t imagine standing around the Mall of America watching people do radio with celebrities, but plenty of fans did it with hopes of getting a picture with their favorite players. It took me about 15 minutes to realize my media pass actually granted me access to Radio Row, so upon entering I broke the only rule posted at the area: I asked Allyson Turner of The Dan LeBatard Show to autograph my headphones, and she obliged. Had I not had access, I would have gone into the office to write this immediately after my short conversation with her. Instead, I literally bumped into Drew Brees, met local, comedy legend Louie Anderson, and told Busta Rhymes how much I appreciated his music. He patted me on the shoulder with a hand the size and weight of a prize fighter’s while he said, “I appreciate you, too, man.” The highlight of my Super Bowl week was meeting Busta Rhymes. I wanted to thank Rod Carew for being such a damn fine human being, but he was the busiest person at Radio Row -- and for good reason.

So there’s a local take on the Super Bowl I’m sure my fellow Minneapolites can appreciate. Had the Vikings made the Super Bowl my take might not be so harsh, but that would be an even more biased opinion based on elation brought on by lust and desire. Do yourself a favor and heed the advice offered. We can only be “Minnesota Nice” for so long.

Minnesota governor Mark Dayton is expected to appoint lieutenant governor Tina Smith to replace United States Senator Al Franken, who resigned amid sexual harassment allegations. But Smith is now contemplating running for reelection in 2018, which has Democrats applying pressure on Dayton to appoint more than just a caretaker to the Senate seat.

Democrats have a stable of good horses to win the 2018 race for Franken’s vacated seat, but U.S. House Representative from Minnesota’s fifth district, Keith Ellison, is the thoroughbred. Ellison has served as the fifth district’s House Representative since 2007, so he’s put in the time to earn a promotion to the Senate. Furthermore, he’d vacate another U.S. Congressional seat Democrats could easily win back in 2018 given its Minneapolis voting base. But who will replace Ellison if he indeed runs for the U.S. Senate in 2018?

Here are the candidates most likely to run for Minnesota’s fifth district if Ellison does run for Franken’s Senate seat.

Lori Swanson, Minnesota Attorney General

Rumor is Swanson wants to run for governor, and her office didn’t return our call as of this writing, but she’d probably be a shoe-in for the U.S. House. For an attorney general, Swanson has pretty good name recognition throughout the state and even the nation. She was named one of America’s top ten lawyers by Lawyers USA in 2009, and the very next year, she was named Public Official of the Year by the Minnesota Nurses Association, whose support would be essential for a Democratic victory in Minnesota’s Fifth U.S. House District.

Ginger Jentzen, Socialist Alternative Party

Jentzen was the big story out of Minnesota during the 2017 municipal elections despite losing a bid for Minneapolis’s City Council. She won the popular vote in seven of 12 precincts, but lost the seat to ranked-choice voting. She didn’t get enough second- or third-choice votes to get a majority. That wouldn’t be the case in a race for Minnesota’s fifth district for the U.S. House, where a win would make her the first Socialist in the House of Representatives since Victor Berger of neighboring Wisconsin in 1910 (Bernie Sanders served in the House as an Independent, and retains that affiliation in the Senate). Jentzen had no comment when asked if she’d be interested in running for the U.S. House seat at a Socialist Alternative event on Saturday night.

Raymond Dehn, Democratic Farmer Labor

Dehn was a close second to Jacob Frey in the Minneapolis mayoral race in 2017, garnering 42.8 percent of the vote, but was fourth in first-choice votes. Tom Hoch and incumbent Betsy Hodges received more first-choice votes than Dehn, but Hoch gave money to Republicans, and Hodges isn’t likely to perform well given her third-place finish as incumbent mayor of Minneapolis.

Nekima Levy-Pounds, Democratic Farmer Labor

Pounds was fifth in first-choice votes for Minneapolis mayor, but would certainly receive the endorsement of Ellison given her work as President of the Minnesota NAACP. Ellison was the first black Representative elected out of Minnesota, and was the first ever Muslim Congressman elected in the United States.

If Smith intends to run for reelection, however, Franken’s vacant Senate seat would be ripe for Republican picking. Franken barely edged Republican Norm Coleman back in 2008, and Hillary Clinton won the state in 2016 by just 1.5 percentage points in 2016.

Update: Pounds returned a message stating she has no interest in running for the District 5 U.S. House seat, but offered two candidates who might.

Jamal Abdulahi, Democratic Farmer Labor

Abdulahi announced his candidacy for Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District when Ellison was being considered as chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2016. He is a Somali American who grew up in Minnesota and would be the first Somali American in Congress. He'd be continuing a trend in Minnesota, which has the largest Somali American population in the country by far. Minnesotans elected the first Somali American Muslim woman to the state legislature last year.
