A series of unusual and mysterious loud sounds are being heard in various locations around the world – and people are quick to blame them on everything from HAARP and earthquakes to 2012 and trumpets sounding a coming Apocalypse.
All around the globe, from the U.S. and Canada to Central America, Europe, and Russia, people are recording unusual and mysterious sounds. Although the phenomenon is not entirely new, the recent outbreak seems to indicate an increase in these eerie, almost other-worldly sounds, causing both concern and speculation.
While many of the odd noises are almost mechanical-like, others sound like a loud roar or may even have an almost “supernatural” quality to them. Some of the sounds have lasted an hour or more, and have occurred at all hours of the day and night. Others continue on an almost daily basis, lasting months or years, as is the case in the Windsor, Ontario, Canada region.
Hundreds of people in the Windsor, Ontario, region have been hearing strange sounds and feeling odd vibrations and the ground rumbling for more than a year and a half now. The strange sounds and rumblings generally begin in the morning and continue throughout the day into the night, disrupting daily life. Windsor City Councillor Al Maghnieh investigated some of the reports, and experienced the “strong vibrations” personally, describing the noises as being “synthetic” and “coming from the ground.” When interviewed, he said he believes the phenomenon is real and that “It’s there, it’s present…and I think this issue needs to be taken much more seriously. There needs to be an investigation.”
In other cases, some of the sounds are accompanied by very bright flashes of light. In a video shot in Florida last year, there are several bright flashes of light that occur in conjunction with a loud roaring sound. The people who took the video believed they were recording a possible tornado, but became concerned when the deafening sound continued at length without any weather warnings being posted. At one point, one of them calls 911 to inquire about the noise. The sound finally dissipates after a very bright flash of light, having lasted almost 20 minutes.
It is interesting to note that the official explanation for the sound recorded during the Florida video changed. Originally, the local news channel reported that they were “told by the police department that it was an airplane at the airport” (4 miles from the location where the video was shot). Later, the 11 o’clock news reported that the sound was “just thunder” that lasted almost 20 minutes!
One incident, which has almost ghostly overtones to it, occurred during a televised baseball game being played at Tropicana Stadium in Florida between Tampa Bay and Detroit. The official report blamed the eerie sounds on a faulty sound system.
So what could explain these weird, mysterious sounds? Speculation abounds. They’ve been tied to everything from HAARP to Project Blue Beam and new weapons testing as well as to major weather fronts colliding causing vibrational echoes. Many believe the sounds may be more Earth related, tied to changing magnetics or to the tectonic plates being pushed and stressed (see article on “Is the North American Plate Being Pushed?”). Two of the more unusual ideas involve the possibility that there was a nuclear explosion in a secret underground military tunnel, or that the noises are part of a mass-marketing campaign for an upcoming movie.
Without direct evidence, however, we may have to just “wait and see,” or in this case, “hear,” what comes from all of this noise, if anything. And while some people immediately dismiss the sounds as hoaxes, others are quick to jump to the opposite extreme and believe them to be signs of a coming Apocalypse. Perhaps a more balanced approach is needed, as well as actual investigation. But like the residents of Taos, New Mexico, maybe we’ll eventually just get used to these types of odd sounds and hums. After all, it is 2012!

I have heard them myself in Newport news Va. For the past year now. I thought i was either cracking up or they were trying out some noise weapon on FT. Eustis or something. Not a hoax whatever it is.
I have been very worried and searching for a forum about this. I live in Suffolk Va and it happens like twice a month at around 4:00 am , I noticed it 5 months ago. I thought it could be a plane but the rumbling is intense and an erie low whistle follows it like someone is blowing into an empty bottle. I wish the news would talk about it.

I heard them myself this morning from about 3:30-5:30. the noise was accompanied by vehicle lights on sleepy hole golf course, search lights, blinking colored lights. it also seemed like some lightning flashes occasionally even though there was no storm in the area. i watched for a long time, but could not make out anything but the flashes of light, and occasional changes in the intensity of the roar as well as the whistles you described. very odd…

But the more I hear it the more I realized it’s not either of those things, I also thought maybe HAARP, I have been trying to watch Chemtrail activity in relation to the noise, but they spray over us everyday so who knows.
I know you can feel it in the ground and hear it in the air.
And I have since moved from being close to the base or the airport and still hear and feel it like it’s right under me. I think now that it maybe from the magnectic feild changing poles. One things for sure, Mother Earth is growning with Labour pains. No two ways around it.
Not a hoax whatever it is. I believe it’s the Earth changing. But since I am not a trained scientist and only one at heart, who knows. Any of my theories could be correct at this point.
Thanks for sharing your experiences Donna. Several of my friends and I noticed some odd sounds and rumblings over the past several months here in Colorado. And I agree with you, it can be heard all around in the air and felt in the ground. Some of my friends think that it’s Yellowstone getting ready to blow, or others think that perhaps it’s related to the secret underground bases they talk about which exist below Denver International Airport. Although some of the videos are probably copycats or possible hoaxes, there is something going on worldwide in regards to these strange sounds and rumblings. It deserves investigation.
BTW, did you notice any of these strange sounds or rumblings before the earthquake last August in Virginia? There’s a video on the Internet submitted from Colorado which was recorded immediately preceding the 5.3 magnitude earthquake in southern Colorado and then the almost simultaneous earthquake in Virginia (both were at almost the same latitude as well).
I am reminded of the scene in the movie CE3K where the alien mothership and the earthlings are tuning up for communication. The mothership makes trumpet-like sounds similiar to the sounds being reported. Could this be related to or the precursor to Project Blue Beam? One never knows until it happens these days.
Ive never heard out till this morning from my mom we been hearing what sounds like gun shots behind our house. But I never thought something like this would happen. The neighbors don’t seem to mind the gun shots but being a person who has never heard a gun in my life and after reading this I’m starting to think other wise. It’s strange. My mom said that they where sounds of god warning us that the end is near. And with this I’m terrified now.
We haven’t heard them here in SE Nevada yet, but I have been reading about the sounds on You Tube. It really irritates me that the media doesn’t say anything. We have alot of chemtrails here and I have been trying to get them media to mention them, but they don’t. I wonder too what the heck is going on. Maybe there is something to 2012. Scary stuff.
I heard it this morning (2 loud booms followed by resonation like drawing a violin string.
It’s supposed to be from core of Earth rotating in different direction from orbit, possibly signaling Earth is getting ready for polar shift.

if you increase the speed of these sounds it sounds like the shofar jewish trumpets or horns.The blast of a shofar emanating from the thick cloud on Mount Sinai made the Israelites tremble in awe (Exodus 19, 16)
How do we know the sounds are legit and not just created with a synthesizer?
i live in washington state and we havent heard the noises. ive been interested in it since i first heard of it in wisconsin a few months back. desided to check if any news reports or anything but nothing. i realy dont the think its the trumpets of apocolyps, for one why would the trumpets only be heard here and there in only a few spots in the world? i would think we would hear it globaly and all at the same time. my best guess is the earth is unstable from our neglect of her. polar shift, low magnetic field, ozone layer and the earths crust moving more from all those causes. its like i tell people we are a viruse a pest to the world. what do you do when you have a bug on you? you scratch it and get rid of it. we are bugs to the world. we belong to the earth it does not belong to us. we treated it bad and its going to show us how bad soon.
Strange…I went out last night at around 2:20 am and there was a loud droning sound that was very eerie. I live in a small town in New Hampshire and thought at first it might be a factory that is in the next town over so I walked down the street at just seemed to be coming from everywhere. Usually I can hear the river running about two miles away but this sound was so loud it drowned it out. When I woke up this morning I went back outside and quite as a mouse. Nothing but birds..frickin wierd.
I have been hearinv this noise for quite some time, I live in Clearwater, Fl. It only happens around 3:20am and ends around 3:45am. I am at the point where all I want is answers if it was something to do with the earth by now i hope we would have been told something. I am geussing it is something military related, but then again it is being heard around the world. I just want to know whats going on.
I too live in a small town, but in upstate NY. It happens so frequently that it seems no one even notices it but me! and can’t be traced to a specific location. It’s not a very low pitch though….comes from the sky, the ground…as if the power lines are vibrating with this piercing buzzing noise it gives me a migraine and makes me space out completely. anyone else experience this in a small crowded city????
I live in sc and havnt heard anything but I want to! I think we are going to have alot of earthquakes and maybe the earths core is going to bust open to the gates of hell….
Yeah, first the Norway spiral, now this. They want to see how we’ll react and it’s working; they’re frightening people. 1) Remember that scary show that put a focused antenna on the tall building and made people hear whispers on the sidewalk? Same technology – could be done from a satellite. 2) Tunnel boring machines? I always thought that’s what the Taos hum was, tunnel boring machines. Either way, just like a lot of other government programs, they’re annoying, useless, a waste of taxpayer’s money and we want them to stop, right?
Maybe the underground sound we hear is from an underground civilization. Maybe they are planning a mass exodus from the underground to join us up here at the end of the year.
I heard them tonight just north of memphis, tn. We are experiencing high winds due to tropical storm isaac blowing through. It scared the living heck out of me the moment I heard it. Around 2:30 am. My 17 yo and I were bringing our german shepards inside due to the increasing weather. The dogs wouldn’t leave the porch…These were more like aeolic tones. We have high tension power lines in the crop-fields about a mile behind our house. One moment it sounded like crickets, then it changed to a pinging-ringing aeolic sound. Scary as hell with the draught and now the tropical storm coming over us. I’m a BIG camping nut. Not wanting to go camping alone anymore…
