The Bright Side’s host Ben Fuchs, R.Ph., joined Infowars’ Aaron Dykes in a one-on-one interview about Ben’s keys to good nutrition.

Ben introduced, in detail, the first three of his eight chapters of good nutrition – protein, fats, carbohydrates, fiber, water, vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients. Making the right choices and getting the proper amounts of each is vital in weight loss and weight management, protection from cancer, and overall body and mind health.

Protein, which Ben refers to as a “dieter’s best friend,” can most easily be found in whey protein (Youngevity Products). Whey protein delivers the most compact punch of protein as opposed to alternatives such as eggs, soy, hemp, pea, etc.

Fats are extremely important to one’s diet, but the key, according to Ben, is digesting the proper form of fats. Essential fatty acids can be found in liquid or capsule form (Youngevity Products). Ben explains how essential fatty acids improve skin health, brain health, as well as controls the craving of fatty foods (i.e. pizza, burgers, fries). In addition, essential fatty acids serve as a great protection from cancer and can relieve women’s menstrual cramps.

Many Americans exceed the necessary amount of carbohydrates each day, but Ben points out that it usually is not the proper kind of carbohydrates. Forty percent of one’s calories should come from carbs. Ben exclaims that the majority of these carbs should come from vegetables – easy on the beets and carrots, heavy on the bitter vegetables. To make these vegetables more palatable, Ben says heating them with a little oil can bring out the sweetness and make it easier for your body to receive the vegetable’s nutrients. Ben also promotes vegetable juices as a great alternative.

Ben Fuchs goal is to awaken the public and take their diet into their own hands, instead of listening to the messages around you (from marketers, the government, et al).

Included in the interview is also an explanation of the history of food and civilizations reliance on food, as well as Infowars Aaron Dykes personal weight loss experience using Ben Fuchs dietary guidelines.
