According to a little noticed quote in the Washington Post earlier this month which has attracted virtually no media attention, President Obama told gun control advocate Sarah Brady that his administration is working “under the radar” to sneak attack the second amendment rights of American citizens.

During a March 30 meeting between Jim and Sarah Brady and White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, at which Obama “dropped in,” the president reportedly told Brady, “I just want you to know that we are working on it (gun control)….We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The quote appeared in an April 11 Washington Post story about Obama’s gun control czar Steve Croley.

“What is truly startling about this story is the way it has been totally ignored by the rest of the media,” writes Jeff Knox….”Even the folks at the Brady bunch are not spreading the news about the stunning reassurances from the president. There is nothing on their website discussing or even mentioning Obama’s chat with Jim and Sarah.”

The Obama administration has repeatedly invoked rhetoric about the flow of guns being smuggled from the U.S. into Mexico as a talking point with which to chill gun rights of American citizens.

Just months into his term in the Oval Office, Obama told Mexican President Felipe Calderon that the U.S. was to blame for much of Mexico’s drug violence because of firearms that were purchased in America.

“I will not pretend that this is Mexico’s responsibility alone. The demand for these drugs in the United States is what’s helping keep these cartels in business,” Obama told Calderon during a press conference. “This war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border.”

However, it was recently revealed that the U.S. government itself was responsible for smuggling guns over the border which ended up directly in the hands of Mexican drug lords. Under operation “Fast and Furious,” the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives “Sanctioned the purchase of weapons in U.S. gun shops and tracked the smuggling route to the Mexican border. Reportedly, more than 2,500 firearms were sold to straw buyers who then handed off the weapons to gunrunners under the nose of ATF.”

The ATF claimed the program was an effort to identify criminals by seeing where the guns ended up, but once across the border, “the agency seemed to lose track of the weapons,” reports Laura Carlsen. The firearms ended up in the hands of Mexico’s ruthless crime gangs and have been used to kill U.S. border agents and other innocent people.

When confronted on the issue, Obama simply denied all knowledge of the program.

In addition, as we reported earlier this week, Jesus Vicente Zambada Niebla, the “logistical coordinator” for a top Mexican drug-trafficking gang, Sinaloa, that was responsible for purchasing the CIA torture jet that crashed with four tons on cocaine on board back in 2007, also obtained guns from the U.S. that were later used to kill people in Mexico City. Niebla recently told the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago that he has been working for the U.S. government since January 2004.

Despite these revelations, the Obama administration is still pushing ahead with a proposal to force gun dealers in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and California to report the sales of two or more semi-automatic rifles to the same person at one time or during any five business days directly to the the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Could the plan to make gun dealers in these four states report to the government who is purchasing firearms be part of the sneak attack Obama promised Brady last month?

Obama attracted the fury of gun rights activists in 2008 when he said that Americans frustrated with the declining economy “cling to guns or religion” as a means of relieving their stress.

MSNBC’S Rachel Maddow is bothered by the fact that the Drudge Report is demanding Obama’s college records be available to the press and general public. As defensive as ever, Maddow finds herself giving Drudge exposure and acknowledging that at least 36 percent of Americans believe that “it is likely that 9-11 was an inside job”. Her report also said that over 70 percent of Americans believe JFK’s assassination was a conspiracy. In the same grouping, she listed several other items that she apparently expected people to associate with as crazy conspiracy theories as she endeavored to dismiss the drive to authenticate Obama’s citizenship now that he has finally produced a birth certificate in place for the receipt that was previously provided.

Maddow asks, what is the reason for any journalist to push the citizenship issue?

AN OPEN LETTER TO MSNBC’S RACHEL MADDOW

Ms. Maddow, you ask why journalists would cover the issue of Obama’s Birth Certificate.

I have an answer for you, Rachel Maddow.

It’s hard to believe you don’t know the ultimate reason as to WHY this is an important issue, and it’s not about race. But it’s obvious now, as your show rolls in the background, that you’ll be pushing the race card and “cashing in,” by supporting the elite who pay you to sit in your chair and espouse their philosophies and actions. How do you have the audacity to question the motives of journalists when you are clearly on the side of the contemptuous status quo and offer little consistency in your arguments over the past three years?

Pre-Obama, you were believable as a good person, but now that you act so incredulous and group in all people who seek the truth as “grifters,” it’s clear that your agenda is not about the truth or concerned about the people.

Thanks by the way for having your own show confirm that at least one third of Americans think “it is likely that 9-11 Was an Inside Job,” Wow. Good job. Thanks. You’re documenting that America is finally waking up.

About those who question Obama’s citizenship, you said it’s “just the way we’re plumbed.” It’s our nature to like conspiracy theories you say. Oh that’s a flaw. A flaw of our plumbing, huh. My plumbing is just fine, except when I try to digest the garbage that is forced down my throat by mainstream news. I’ve actually quit dining from the mainstream trough, but sometimes I end up with an unhealthy snack of smack from the squawk box or whatever we shall call television news. Such is the case here.

I actually liked some of your analysis when you were attacking Bush’s policies, but now that Obama comes in and makes the same Executive Errors, you are in favor and an advocate for whatever Obama sees fit to do.

Being on the team, you know that these executive actions are not errors, but instead tactical decision employed against the mass population and you are helping the bad guys. As a “journalist,” why aren’t you probing into why the U.S. Military is now on the side of Al-Qaeda in Libya? Those citizens over there in North Africa must be awful special, because not even protesters in America, with 1st Amendment Rights are backed up with the military might those poor revolutionists are getting. I guess they must be saved from the horrible Ghadafi, yet another expendable figurehead of Anglo Imperialism.

No, most common folk don’t have multinational forces fight their wars, unless there’s more to the real story. Instead of having the truth or even basic facts declared to them, most folks end up listening to sellouts like you, Rachel Maddow.

So, let me answer the question as to why Obama’s birth certificate is important to journalists of any sort. If you bother to read this, I apologize for taking so long to say what I’m about to say.

The reason why Obama’s citizenship is so important is that if he is proven not to be a U.S. citizen, according to the Constitution, he would have to be removed from office and all of President Obama’s executive decisions would be declared null and void. Too bad. No matter what else happens, Obama’s broken promise to curtail the wars is resulting in hundreds of casualties each day of his presidency.
