John and Jeff

John & Jeff’s, “More Topics, Better Variety” format and brutally honest commentary on today’s news, issues, money matters, pop culture, personal relationships and their popular “Free Advice” segments, keeps America up all night!

TALKERS Magazine has named The John & Jeff Show as one of America’s Top 100 Radio Talk Shows in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009.

John & Jeff met at KPWR-FM, Power 106, Los Angeles in 1989. The duo worked together hosting a thousand radio station promotions and events throughout Southern California.

During his ten years at Power 106, Jeff worked in programming and served as emcee of numerous motion picture world premieres, movie screenings, Los Angeles concert events, theme park openings, nightclubs and national client promotions.

John held various management positions at Power 106 including Director of Marketing and Promotions. In 1994 and 1995, John was nominated Billboard Magazine’s Major Market Marketing and Promotions Director of the Year.

In 1992, during the height of the Los Angeles riots, John was instrumental in creating and producing an unprecedented city-wide “Stop The Violence” talk show hosted by Arsenio Hall, broadcast live on 12 Los Angeles radio stations.

After five years, John decided it was time to get back on the air. He moonlighted as a 6-Midnight weekend Top 40 Disc Jockey at KAVS/KAVL in Lancaster, California under his Rhode Island DJ name, “Johnny B.”

In 1994, John encouraged Jeff to send his audition tape to the Lancaster station, and soon Jeff was hired as the weekend Disc Jockey under the name “Michael Cruz.” Jeff was amused by John’s recorded off-air telephone conversations with listeners and approached John about working as a duo. John & Jeff soon began working in a Burbank, California production studio as talk radio hosts.

John & Jeff got their first listener by accident, when a radio executive borrowed John’s boom-box for his daughter’s birthday party. A cassette of The John & Jeff Show was inside. To John’s surprise, the executive listened to the tape and expressed an interest in producing the show.

In 1998, after six months of telephone calls to CBS talk station KLSX, John convinced Program Director, Jack Silver to take a chance on The John & Jeff Show. Three months later, The John & Jeff Show debuted under the name “Buried Alive from 3-5am.” One year later in January 1999, The John & Jeff Show was signed to a full-time contract with the CBS/Infinity station.

In 2000, The John & Jeff Show signed a nationally syndicated radio contract.

In 2009, The John & Jeff Show celebrated its 10th year in national syndication.

Jeff, a native of Southern California, is married and is an avid surfer, muscle car enthusiast, and a 5/10K runner.

John, born in the Bronx, New York, grew up in Rhode Island. John is single, has a BA degree in Mass Communications, and is a daily stock market trader.

John began his professional radio career in 1984. His radio industry credits include: TOP 40 Disc Jockey at WERI-FM/RI-104 Providence, Rhode Island; WQGN/Q-105 Groton-New London, Connecticut; and Affiliate Relations Manager at Entertainment Radio Networks in Malibu, California.

Food Freedom Betrayal

Farm Wars

Our food supply is in jeopardy. Not only from outside forces such as poisons from China, but from within. The very people that we look to for guidance seem to be working together to lead us straight into global food governance in the form of Codex Alimentarius. This is especially alarming when you consider that the very organizations such as the USDA and FDA, that are charged with the safeguarding and regulation of our food supply are at the forefront of the battle, leading us straight into worldwide genocide using food as a weapon.

But the USDA and FDA do not stand alone. There are others who consider food to be “fair game” in this war against the people, and they just happen to control some very large purse strings. So, who holds the purse strings behind the push to obliterate any food safeguards we may have? Let’s just pick two – Rockefeller and Merck, then take a closer look at a few of the “trusted” organizations that they fund.

The Purse Strings: Rockefeller

Let’s take a look at just a part of what the Rockefeller crime family is involved in concerning our food supply.

Egypt Protests: America’s Secret Backing For Rebel Leaders Behind Uprising

The Telegraph

The American Embassy in Cairo helped a young dissident attend a US-sponsored summit for activists in New York, while working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police.

On his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist told US diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups had drawn up a plan to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011.

He has already been arrested by Egyptian security in connection with the demonstrations and his identity is being protected by The Daily Telegraph.

The crisis in Egypt follows the toppling of Tunisian president Zine al-Abedine Ben Ali, who fled the country after widespread protests forced him from office.

The disclosures, contained in previously secret US diplomatic dispatches released by the WikiLeaks website, show American officials pressed the Egyptian government to release other dissidents who had been detained by the police.

Western Caucus: Administration’s Underhanded Wild Lands Order Threatens Western Economies

Friday, January 28th, 2011

by Emily Lawrimore
Senate Western Caucus

Today, Senate Western Caucus Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY) and House Western Caucus Chairman Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) along with members of the Joint Congressional Western Caucus sent a letter to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar expressing outrage over the Department of Interior’s (DOI) sweeping new wilderness policy that was recently issued without input from Congress or local officials. The Members warn that the new policy, Secretarial Order 3310, has the potential to harm western economies and rural communities by limiting multiple use access to public lands.

The Members wrote:

“This new ‘wild lands’ policy introduces more uncertainty and will arbitrarily delay the reasonable use and development of our public lands. In order to prevent a collapse of several rural economies in the West and forestall continued uncertainty and job loss in western public land states, we urge you to withdraw Secretarial Order 3310 and work with Congress to devise balanced policies for our public lands.”

Excerpts of the letter follow.

“The decision was announced the day after Congress adjourned and the day before Christmas Eve. Choosing to announce such a significant decision on such a date raises the question whether the intent was to escape both congressional and public scrutiny.

“As best we can tell, Congress was left in the dark regarding any process the DOI may have undertaken in the preparation of this decision. We are also unaware of any effort to reach out to Members until the day the announcement was made.

“This order gives the BLM immediate authority to ‘designate appropriate areas with wilderness characteristics under its jurisdiction as ‘Wild Lands’ and to manage them to protect their wilderness values.’ We believe this order represents a considerable departure from the method for designating lands as ‘Wilderness Areas’ specified in the Wilderness Act of 1964.

“As you know, the Wilderness Act gives the U.S. Congress — and only the U.S. Congress — the power to designate public lands as protected Wilderness Areas.’ Secretarial Order 3310 appears to be an underhanded attempt by DOI to circumvent Congress and the federal rulemaking process by designating potentially millions of acres of publicly owned lands in western states as de facto wilderness under a new, loosely defined ‘wild lands’ category.

“By singling out wilderness characteristics, and ignoring other resources, Secretarial Order No. 3310 appears to be intentionally stacking the deck against multiple-use management.

“We believe public lands should be managed in a way that provides the greatest benefit to the public. The multiple-use philosophy — which encourages the environmentally responsible use of public lands for conservation, recreation, and economic purposes — is the best way to accomplish that goal. Multiple-use has been the bedrock for many rural western economies for decades.

“Conversely, an ambiguous ‘wild lands’ designation based on ‘wilderness characteristics’ is not a good management approach. Indeed, we are convinced that proceeding with this order will only serve to create greater uncertainty, invite litigation, and create further division among the various public land stakeholders, environmental groups, and local communities.”

Raw Story

Leaked internal FBI documents reveal dozens of employee transgressions ranging from sex-related misconduct to felonies involving the abuse of power and classified information.

One employee gave sensitive information to his girlfriend, who was a journalist, and later threatened to release a sex tape of the two after they had broken up. The employee lied under oath during the inquiry.

Another employee became obsessed with a co-worker and continued to press for a closer relationship despite “clear indications” that the colleague wasn’t interested and persisted even after receiving orders to cease contact.
