In and amongst the tremendous range of ideologies, religions, and political views
in America, Barry Lynn stands to examine where the future of America
may be headed. Culture Shocks takes a daily look at the values of
those who Lynn feels are trying to undermine America's personal
liberties. Being an ordained minister, constitutional lawyer, and
civil libertarian, Lynn has the experience to take on his
conservative opponents. If you want to open up your view of today's
America, tune into Culture Shocks with Barry Lynn.
Culture Shocks & Culture War
America is in the middle of a culture war, and the winning side will
decide how much freedom we really have as a nation - freedom to
believe, freedom to speak, and freedom to maintain our individual
identities. Culture Shocks takes a daily look at the outrageous
conduct of those trying to undermine Americans' personal liberties.
Along with guests from across the ideological, religious, and
political spectrum, Culture Shocks examines current and perennial
controversies that cut to the core of American values.
The show is hosted by the Rev. Barry Lynn, an ordained minister,
constitutional lawyer, noted activist, and longstanding civil
libertarian. Because of his position as executive director for
Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and his past
involvement with the American Civil Liberties Union, he's a popular
guest on shows like Fox News Channel's O'Reilly Factor, MSNBC's News
With Brian Williams, and CNN's Crossfire, as well as at national
conventions around the country.
He has battled every major conservative figure from Bob Barr and
William F. Buckley, Jr. to Jerry Falwell, Phyllis Schlafly, and Pat
Robertson. A former co-host of Mutual Broadcasting's Pat Buchanan
and Company, Rev. Lynn also co-hosted a weekly news wrap-up with
Colonel Oliver North.

I'm Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United.
Since 1947, Americans United has led the way in defending the
separation of church and state, the cornerstone of religious liberty
in America. As a non-sectarian, non-partisan organization, AU's
membership includes Christians, Jews, Buddhists, people with no
religious affiliation and others. Democrats, Republicans and
independents have joined our ranks.
Americans United is an independent organization with no ties to any
larger group or political movement. We are a true grassroots
organization. Thanks to your support, Americans United is able to
defend separation of church and state in the courts, educate
legislators, work with the media to inform Americans about religious
freedom issues and organize local chapters all over the country.
